“Library Waves” is a biannual peer reviewed Journal of Library and Information Science discipline, issues appearing in the month of June and December every year. Presently the Journal is being published by Shri Shakti Degree College, Kanpur (UP).

The journal provides a platform to the professionals for discussing pertinent issues of regional, national and international importance, reporting significant developments in the discipline adding new dimensions. The research papers reporting authentic and original research work on thrust areas with deep critical analysis. The journal keeps professionals abreast of new knowledge documenting significant research and developments.

The journal broadly covers the discipline of Library and Information Science including peripheral subject areas like Information Technology, Research Methodology, Communication, Management, Intellectual Property Rights ... Etc. The Journal also includes interdisciplinary research and significant contributions having greater impact on the broader Library and Information Science discipline.

The Journal is compliance with following standards and and guidelines:

  • OAI-PMH interface according to the OpenAIRE Guidelines 1.1 and it is OpenAIRE compliance,

  • DRIVER Guidelines 2.0, helping journal to become DRIVER compliant.

  • Indexing of published content in Google Scholar.

  • Journal COUNTER compliant.

  • Indexing of published content in Scientific Indexing Services (SIS)

Review Policy adopted for submitted manuscripts

We follow double blind peer reviewing for all the manuscripts submitted by authors without any discrimination. Reviewers are allowed to take maximum 3 weeks’ time for completing the review the paper. In case the reviewed paper is not received within the stipulated period, a reminder is send to the reviewer allowing an additional one week time for reviewing. A paper is send to two reviewers selected by the Editorial Board amongst the confidential panel of reviewers. After the receiving the review report of the reviewer, the authors are accordingly intimated. The authors are expected to make modifications / revision of their manuscript within the shortest period of time as suggested by the reviewers. After the final review reports authors are intimated about the acceptance of their manuscript by the Editor-in-Chief.

In case the author’s manuscript is not found suitable for publication by the Editorial Board the authors will be intimated by the Editor-in-chief soon after receiving the manuscript or after the preliminary comments of the reviewer.

Journal Ethics Policy

The journal accepts only original work of author(s) which has not earlier published fully or partially. The Journal follows double blind review process for all papers submitted for publication. Information contained in a particular paper or piece of work including its citations, which is provided to a reviewer for review, must not be disclosed until the paper is published. Strict confidentiality should be maintained with respect to the intellectual efforts made by both author and reviewer. All the submitted papers are required to qualify plagiarism test and review process in unbiased manner.
